Rotate Image Online

Fix sideways or upside-down photos in one click. Rotate a whole batch 90° right, 90° left or a full 180° — each image keeps its original format and all processing stays on your device.

or drag and drop JPG/PNG/WebP files here — you can also paste from the clipboard

Processed on your device — files are never uploaded to Filesvo.

EXIF Orientation — The photo is not sideways — one byte tells viewers to turn it, and some of them ignore it.

How to use Filesvo

  1. Select or drop JPG, PNG or WebP files, or paste an image from your clipboard.
  2. Choose 90° right, 180° or 90° left.
  3. Click Rotate Images and download the results individually or all at once.

How rotation works

Rotating by a multiple of 90° rearranges pixels without interpolation — every pixel of the original is still present, just in a new position. A 90° or 270° rotation swaps the image's width and height; 180° keeps them.

PNG output is lossless, so rotating a PNG is a perfectly reversible operation. JPG and WebP are re-encoded at 92% quality on save, because those formats always re-compress — the effect is minimal, but repeatedly rotating the same JPG back and forth will slowly accumulate compression, so rotate once in the direction you need.

Private by design

Your files are processed directly in your browser using the browser's built-in image APIs and are not uploaded to Filesvo. Nothing is stored on our servers, because nothing ever reaches them.

Frequently asked questions

Does rotating lose image quality?
For PNG, no — the operation is lossless. For JPG and WebP, the image is re-encoded once at 92% quality, which is visually negligible for a single rotation.
Can I rotate by an arbitrary angle like 15°?
Not with this tool. Arbitrary angles require interpolation and either cropping or padding the canvas, which is an editing decision rather than a quick fix. This tool covers the 90°/180°/270° cases that solve almost all sideways-photo problems.
Can I rotate several images at once?
Yes. Add as many files as you like, pick one rotation, and it is applied to every queued image. Files that fail are reported individually without stopping the rest.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Rotation runs entirely in your browser using the canvas API. Your files never reach a server.
