Filesvo

PDF to HTML Converter

Turn a PDF into one HTML file you can open in any browser, publish on a site, or paste into a CMS. Headings become real heading tags, lists become lists and tables become tables — with the styling inlined so the single file works on its own.

How to use Filesvo

  1. Select or drop a PDF file.
  2. Click Convert to HTML and wait while each page is read.
  3. Download the .html file — it opens in any browser with no other files needed.

What you get from PDF to HTML

The output is one self-contained HTML document: the stylesheet is written inside the file, so there are no separate CSS or asset files to keep together. It uses semantic markup — h1 to h6, p, ul, ol, blockquote, pre and table — which means the text stays searchable, selectable, screen-reader friendly and easy to restyle.

Structure is worked out from how the text sits on the page: size and weight identify headings, leading bullets or numbers identify lists, and aligned columns identify tables. It is a rebuild of the document's meaning rather than a snapshot of its appearance, which is what makes the HTML genuinely editable.

Private by design

Your files are processed directly in your browser using open-source PDF engines that run in your browser and are not uploaded to Filesvo. Nothing is stored on our servers, because nothing ever reaches them.

Frequently asked questions

Is the layout identical to the PDF?
No. The HTML reflows like a web page, so it adapts to the screen instead of reproducing fixed page positions. Headings, paragraphs, lists and tables are preserved; exact page geometry is not.
Do I need extra CSS files to view it?
No. The styles are inlined in the same file, so a single .html download is everything you need. It also follows your system's light or dark setting.
What happens with a scanned PDF?
There is no text layer in a scan, so nothing can be converted and the tool will tell you so rather than producing an empty page.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. Reading the PDF and writing the HTML both happen in your browser. The file never leaves your device.
