How to use Filesvo

  1. Select or drop JPG, PNG or WebP files, or paste an image from your clipboard.
  2. Type your watermark text, pick a position on the 3 × 3 grid or choose Tile, and adjust opacity, text size and color.
  3. Click Add Watermark and download the results individually or all at once.

How the watermark is applied

The text is drawn onto the image pixels with a subtle shadow so it stays legible on both light and dark backgrounds. Text size is set as a percentage of each image's width, so one setting produces consistent-looking results across a batch of differently sized photos.

Corner placement is discreet but croppable; tiling repeats the text diagonally across the entire image, which is the standard approach for proofs and previews because removing it means repainting the whole picture. A watermark deters casual reuse — it is not encryption, and a determined editor can still attack it.

Private by design

Your files are processed directly in your browser using the browser's built-in image APIs and are not uploaded to Filesvo. Nothing is stored on our servers, because nothing ever reaches them.

Frequently asked questions

Can I remove the watermark later?
No. The text becomes part of the image pixels — there is no separate layer. Keep your original un-watermarked file; the watermarked copy is for sharing.
Which position should I use?
Bottom-right at 40–60% opacity is the convention for photo credits. Use Tile for proofs, previews and anything you specifically don't want reused, since tiled text can't be cropped away.
Can I use my own logo image as the watermark?
Not yet — this tool stamps text only. Text covers credits, brand names and sample stamps; image-logo watermarking may come later.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The watermark is drawn in your browser with the canvas API. Your images never leave your device.
