How to use Filesvo
- Select or drop any mix of JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF, SVG and ICO files.
- Choose the output format: JPG, PNG or WebP.
- Adjust quality (for JPG/WebP) and a background color (for JPG, which can't hold transparency).
- Click Convert and download everything at once.
One converter for mixed folders
Real folders are rarely one format. This tool exists for the download directory full of screenshots, AVIF photos saved from the web, an old BMP scan and a logo SVG — select them all, pick one target format, and get a consistent set back. Files are processed a few at a time, each with its own honest result and error handling, so one bad file never stops the batch.
The same browser engines behind Filesvo's single-format converters do the work: native decoding for every input format your browser supports, canvas encoding for JPG, PNG and WebP output. Choose PNG when you need lossless output or transparency, JPG for maximum compatibility, WebP for the smallest files on the modern web.
Private by design
Your files are processed directly in your browser using the browser's built-in image APIs and are not uploaded to Filesvo. Nothing is stored on our servers, because nothing ever reaches them.
Frequently asked questions
- What happens to animated GIFs?
- JPG, PNG and WebP outputs here are still images, so only the first frame of an animated GIF is converted — Filesvo notes this on each affected file.
- What happens to transparency?
- PNG and WebP outputs keep it. JPG can't hold transparency, so transparent areas are flattened onto the background color you pick (white by default).
- Can I convert a file to its own format?
- Yes — a JPG in a to-JPG batch is simply re-encoded at your chosen quality, which also makes this a quick bulk compressor.
- Is there a limit on how many files I can convert?
- No fixed count. Files are processed a few at a time to keep your device responsive; very large batches just take longer. Each file is capped at 100 MB and 64 megapixels for browser safety.
- Are my images uploaded?
- No. Every conversion happens inside your browser. Filesvo never receives your files.
