- Click Convert to JPG and download each page image, or all of them together.
What PDF to JPG conversion does
Each PDF page is rendered — drawn out exactly as a PDF viewer would display it — and saved as a JPG image. The result is a picture of the page: text in the image can no longer be selected or edited, which is exactly what you want for previews, sharing pages as images, or embedding pages where PDFs aren't accepted.
The resolution options trade size for sharpness. 1× matches the PDF's nominal size (72 DPI), which is fine for on-screen thumbnails; 2× is a good default for reading; 3× keeps small text crisp at the cost of larger files.
Private by design
Your files are processed directly in your browser using open-source PDF engines that run in your browser and are not uploaded to Filesvo. Nothing is stored on our servers, because nothing ever reaches them.
Frequently asked questions
- Will the text in the JPG be selectable?
- No. The output is a rasterized picture of each page, so text becomes part of the image. If you need selectable text, keep the PDF itself.
- Does this work with password-protected PDFs?
- No. Encrypted, password-protected PDFs can't be processed — remove the password first, then convert.
- How many pages can I convert?
- Up to 200 pages per PDF. Rendering happens page by page in your browser, and very large or complex PDFs simply take a little longer.
- Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
- No. Pages are rendered by an open-source PDF engine running in your browser. The file never leaves your device.
