How to use Filesvo

  1. Select or drop JPG, PNG or WebP files, or paste an image from your clipboard.
  2. Choose Horizontal (mirror) or Vertical (upside down).
  3. Click Flip Images and download the results individually or all at once.

How flipping works

A horizontal flip mirrors the image across its vertical axis, swapping left and right — this is what front cameras do to selfies, so flipping horizontally restores the un-mirrored view. A vertical flip mirrors across the horizontal axis, turning the image top-to-bottom.

Like 90° rotation, flipping rearranges pixels without any interpolation, and the image's dimensions don't change. PNG output is lossless; JPG and WebP are re-encoded once at 92% quality on save.

Private by design

Your files are processed directly in your browser using the browser's built-in image APIs and are not uploaded to Filesvo. Nothing is stored on our servers, because nothing ever reaches them.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between flipping and rotating 180°?
Rotating 180° turns the image around its center — text stays readable, just upside down. Flipping mirrors it, so text reads backwards after a horizontal flip. A vertical flip is the same as a horizontal flip plus a 180° rotation.
Why do my selfies look flipped in the first place?
Phone front cameras show you a mirrored preview because that's how mirrors work and it feels natural — but some apps also save the mirrored version. A horizontal flip restores the true orientation, which is how everyone else sees you.
Does flipping lose quality?
PNG flips are lossless. JPG and WebP are re-encoded once at 92% quality — visually negligible for a single flip.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Flipping runs entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device.
