How to use Filesvo

  1. Select or drop a PDF file.
  2. Choose the image resolution — 1×, 2× or 3× the PDF's own page size.
  3. Click Convert to PNG and download each page image, or all of them together.

PNG or JPG for PDF pages?

PNG is lossless, so rendered pages keep perfectly sharp text and clean lines — ideal for pages that are mostly text, diagrams or screenshots. The files are larger than JPG, especially at higher resolutions.

Like any PDF-to-image conversion, the result is a picture of each page: text in the image can't be selected or edited. If your pages are photo-heavy and file size matters more than pixel-perfect text, the PDF to JPG tool produces smaller files.

Private by design

Your files are processed directly in your browser using open-source PDF engines that run in your browser and are not uploaded to Filesvo. Nothing is stored on our servers, because nothing ever reaches them.

Frequently asked questions

Will the text in the PNG be selectable?
No. The output is a rasterized picture of each page, so text becomes part of the image. If you need selectable text, keep the PDF itself.
Does this work with password-protected PDFs?
No. Encrypted, password-protected PDFs can't be processed — remove the password first, then convert.
Which resolution should I pick?
2× is a good default: sharp enough for reading at normal zoom. Use 3× when the page has small text you'll zoom into, and 1× for thumbnails or quick previews.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. Pages are rendered by an open-source PDF engine running in your browser. The file never leaves your device.
