Create a ZIP File Online

Select any files — documents, images, code, anything — and pack them into a single ZIP archive. Each file is compressed with the browser's built-in Deflate engine, and files that don't compress well are stored as-is so the archive never grows. Nothing is uploaded to Filesvo.

or drag and drop the files to pack here — any file type works

Processed on your device — files are never uploaded to Filesvo.

How to use Filesvo

  1. Select or drop the files you want to pack.
  2. Name the archive (or keep the default).
  3. Click Create ZIP and download the archive.

A standard ZIP, built in your browser

The archive is written in the standard ZIP format that every operating system opens natively — Windows Explorer, macOS Finder and Linux file managers all extract it without extra software. Filenames are stored as UTF-8, so names in any language survive the round trip.

Each file is compressed with Deflate — the same method desktop ZIP tools use by default. When a file is already compressed (a JPG, an MP4, an existing archive), Deflate can't shrink it further, so it is stored uncompressed instead; that's why zipping photos barely changes their size.

Private by design

Your files are processed directly in your browser using the browser's built-in APIs and are not uploaded to Filesvo. Nothing is stored on our servers, because nothing ever reaches them.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a size limit?
Yes — up to 1,000 files and 500 MB of input per archive, because everything is processed in your browser's memory. For bigger jobs, a desktop tool is the right choice.
Can I password-protect the ZIP?
No — this tool creates standard unencrypted ZIP archives. ZIP encryption is either weak (the legacy format) or poorly supported across systems (AES), so we don't offer a false sense of security.
Why is my ZIP barely smaller than the original files?
Compression depends on the content. Text and code shrink a lot; photos, videos and other already-compressed formats don't, and are stored as-is so the archive never ends up larger than the input.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The archive is assembled entirely in your browser — your files never leave your device.
